I’m Vivek, and today I’m going to share with you my one-day experience of Delhi to Agra with Udhbhav, my fellow traveller. In October 2023, we stayed in a nice hotel, hired an AC cab, and explored the fascinating monuments of Agra with style on a limited budget.
Our trip cost us 9,500 INR (114 dollars), and we proved that holidays are more than a money-making pursuit. They can be cheaper if you make the right decisions about accommodation and transportation and have good knowledge of must-see tourist spots.
Using Google’s suggestion to Hire a taxi
Since we could not wander around the city on foot, we found a cab company called SRM Holidays that offered a Delhi to Agra one-day tour by car. A Swift Dzire AC car with a one-night stay in Delhi was charged Rs 9500 for one day. It was an air-conditioned cab that was very well maintained. Our driver, Bhupendra Kumar, was very friendly, courteous, and humble.

🕑 02:00 A.M. – Starts in Midnight From Delhi
I had arranged for a cab driver from the Grand Regency Delhi Hotel to pick me up. We began our journey towards Agra at midnight in a comfortable car and completed
the 240-kilometre distance in less than 4 hours on the Yamuna Expressway. Upon arrival in Agra, we immediately started the Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour.

Agra Fort is a massive fort and a source of pride for the Mughal Empire. It is considered one of the most powerful forts in India and has served as the capital of the Mughal Empire at times. Additionally, it has been used as a residence for royalty. Today, it functions as a royal museum that displays countless belongings of the former rulers.

🕒 01:00-2:00 P.M– Lunch-Time

🕒 03:00 P.M– Departure
After Lunch, we Drive Back from Agra to Delhi which is Again 4 hour’s drive by car. You will reach Delhi at around 7- 8 p.m. Upon arrival, our driver will drop at our door- Hotel.
